Sad Christmas Poems Definition

If you have lost someone special on the Christmas day, your memory of Christmas might not be as jolly and pleasing as others. If your pain gets too much to bear, give vent to your suppressed
emotions by writing Sad Christmas Poems which could make you feel better.

How often do we notice the pale boy standing by the door of the toyshop, looking through the glass, while you gift your son his favorite toy as his Christmas present? Christmas is not the same for all of us. So engrossed are we with ourselves that we tend to overlook the pains and sufferings of others. There are times when we are helpless, even when we want to lend a helping hand. Many psychologists are of the opinion that one can lessen one's depression and pain by expressing it on pen and paper and this is supposedly a better way of feeling lighter than verbal exchange.

Sad Christmas Poems can be of varied strains ranging from depression poems to the agony one is made to go through in the teen years. Your Sad Christmas Poems need not be a masterpiece cause it depends on your own ability to express yourself on paper. The art of expression and portrayal are different for different people. It would be a foolhardy act on your part, if you try to emulate Tennyson and Milton. You are at liberty to write your own stuff using your own words and feelings. Feelings are a quintessential prerequisite for writing poetry in general and sad poems in particular. The depth and intensity of your emotions would get reflected through your poems. So, be it your long lost love or the demise of a near and dear one, indulge in poetry cause you wouldn't find a better way to express yourself. Here is a Sad Christmas Poem for you by Steve Woodman

What did you get for Christmas?
Was it something nice?
I'm sitting here in Casualty,
My face is packed with ice.

I dread it every Christmas,
They never give me toys,
Daddy will get drunk again,
His nights out with the boys.

I know he doesn't mean it,
He's far to drunk to know,
He hits me hard for nothing,
And bruises always show.

A Christmas to remember,
The policemen had to call,
They took my Dad away this time,
He said I'd had a fall.

He's really done it this time,
An ambulance had to come,
That's why I'm sitting here in Casualty,
Waiting with me Mum.
