Buhat Yaad Aati Hai Maan Poetry For Mother - Poetry
zindigani ke safar main gardishon ki dhoop mein
jab koi saya nahin milta tab boht yaad aati hai MAAN
pyar kehte hain kisse aur maamta kya cheez hai
koi un bachon se pooche jinki mar jati hai MAAN
safa-e-hasti pe likhti hia asool-e-zindagi
isiliye to maqsad-e-islam kehlati hai MAAN
jab koi pardes jata hai aye noor-e-nazar
Quran leke sar pe aajati hai MAAN
leke zamanat mein raza-e-pak ki
peechey peechey sar jhukaye door tak jati hia MAAN
kaampti awaz main kehti hai beta alvida
samne jab tak rahe hathon ko lehraati hai MAAN
jab parseshani mein phass jate hain hum pardes main
aansuuyon ko pochne khawbon main chali aati hai MAAN
marte dam tak aasaka na bacha ghar pardes se
apni sari duyayain chokhat pe chor jati hia MAAN
The Sad Mother
Sleep, sleep, my beloved,
without worry, without fear,
although my soul does not sleep,
although I do not rest.
Sleep, sleep, and in the night
may your whispers be softer
than a leaf of grass,
or the silken fleece of lambs.
May my flesh slumber in you,
my worry, my trembling.
In you, may my eyes close
and my heart sleep.
